This finely crafted, one-of-a-kind, wall mirror is as surprising and delightful as can be. Fantastically suspended in the center of a unique, handwoven "renda de bilro" lace technique which involves stretching the work across a series of cactus thorns while managing the yarn on a clutch of handheld wooden spindles. A playful, symmetrical pattern, completes this piece before it is stretched across a sturdy, rustic, wooden frame. The rural tradition of this this style of handmade textiles was almost lost, but has survived amongst just a few communities of women in the remote regions Brazil's north.
